The EUSR National Water Hygiene course, commonly known as the Blue Card, will provide delegates with the knowledge of good water hygiene practices and help protect public health by preventing contamination of the clean water supply.
The scheme has been developed in collaboration with UK water companies and is a requirement for individuals undertaking certain activities on clean water sites or working on the clean water network, known as Restricted Operations. This includes individuals employed by water companies, subcontractors and other organisations, including Self-Lay Organisations (SLOs).
The training provides delegates with an understanding of the importance of maintaining water quality, the risks associated with contamination and the measures required to prevent contamination when working within the clean water industry.
The course covers the following modules:
Module 1: The Importance of Water.
Module 2: Water as a Carrier of Disease.
Module 3: Potential Contamination and Its Consequences.
Module 4: Preventing Contamination.
All delegates must complete a health screening questionnaire before undertaking the training and assessment. Where applicable, written confirmation from a medical practitioner may be required before registration can be completed.
We deliver this training at our Centre in Wincanton, but we can also deliver the course at your site, if you are able to meet the off-site training requirements.
