Things to know

We deliver this training at our Centre in Wincanton, but we can also deliver the course at your site, if you are able to meet the off-site training requirements.

A valid SHEA registration is also a requirement for individuals applying for the relevant EUSR CSCS card for utilities-related work on construction sites. The type of card required depends on the individual’s job role and level of competence. This must be applied for separately.

FAQ

Who needs to attend an EUSR SHEA Core course?
The course is suitable for operatives, supervisors and managers working on operational sites across utility sectors (gas, water, power, telecoms, waste). It is particularly relevant to individuals who need to demonstrate their health, safety and environmental awareness when undertaking utilities-related work.
Who is the Accrediting Body?
The Energy & Utility Skills Register (EUSR) administers the SHEA Core scheme. Successful delegates receive EUSR SHEA Core Safety Passport following completion of the required training and assessments.
Will I get a CSCS Card?
No, completing a Safety, Health and Environmental Awareness (SHEA) course gives you an EUSR registration and an EUSR SHEA card, but it no longer automatically includes a CSCS Green Labourer card. If your site or role requires a CSCS card (such as an EUSR CSCS Utilities Labourer card or a Skilled Worker card), it must be applied for separately.
